The Walk to Cure Diabetes, by far JDRF’s biggest fundraiser, is a massive undertaking that starts not long after each year’s walk wraps up. Planning meetings start early in the calendar year and continue up to and past walk day. There’s a frenzy of activity and a reliance on dozens upon dozens of hard-working volunteers as walk day approaches.
